In a formal ceremony, King Charles III was announced King of England at Westminster Abbey on the 6th May 2023. He ascended to the throne last September (8th) (2022). The Diamond Jubilee state coach, in which King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived with the palace’s royal guards was the first time in more than 900 years that the Palace has seen 40 coronation celebrations.
The King and Queen addressed all those who attended the ceremony in an official announcement.
